The SESLHD ACAP Intake Admin Officer is a pivotal administrative and triage role directly supporting the operations and function of the SESLHD ACAP Intake Service under the direction of the SESLHD ACAP Team Leader. The position is a customer focussed contact role, responsible for the provision of high level administrative function that interfaces between the SESLHD aged care assessment services satellite locations and the My Aged Care portal. The position will directly interface with referring services, clients and other healthcare teams.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.
A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements.
In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.
Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

- Demonstrated excellence in a wide range of office administration and data entry skills and experience with demanding workloads.
- Demonstrated experience in frontline customer service providing professional, clear, accurate and prompt responses in complex work environments.

- Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking including problem solving, effective prioritisation and escalation.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures.
- Demonstrated capacity to be an effective member of a multidisciplinary team who can work independently, take initiative when required and follow direction.
- Knowledge of or readiness and capacity to learn basic medical terminology.
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of data systems and MS Office suite, Outlook with experience in/or ready ability to learn healthcare databases e.g. My Aged Care, Cerner eMR, iPM.
