Join Our Team as a Careers Advisor at Kaplan Business School in Melbourne!RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Careers Superstar that thrives on supporting students in all aspects of their career. You will be responsible for managing and delivering all careers related content, resources, events/workshops and deliver one-to-one careers consultations with students.Responsibilities
  • Mentor, coach, and support students to achieve their career goals through 1-on-1 career consultations and personalised job readiness skills training, both online and face-to-face
  • Provide expert advice and insight regarding local recruitment practices and job market trends
  • Organize placement of students into work experience and employability opportunities, and refer students into Academic Internships
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver a positive and holistic student experience
  • Tracking, monitoring, and reporting of student careers activity, testimonies and uptake of services
  • Develop an engaging schedule of on campus careers events and workshops
  • Actively participate and attend external career events, mentoring and supporting students in their networking activities and introductions to industry contacts
  • Mange partnerships of key career services providers, community organisations, industry bodies, guest speakers, trainers, and workshop facilitators, that assist delivery of career services and opportunities for students
Requirements
  • Previous experience working within a dynamic client facing environment developing and maintaining networks with industry partners and external stakeholders (essential)
  • Previous experience delivering and facilitating events, guest speaker discussions and/or workshops (essential)
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the proven ability to broker and nurture positive outcomes and experiences
  • Ability to plan, control, coordinate and manage activities with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • A self-starter with a professional image who has accuracy and attention to detail
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in either Careers Education/Counselling, Business, or HR (desirable)
