About The Role
As the Advisor, Early Careers you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating our seasonal clerk and graduate programs for our Melbourne office. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent and working closely with internal stakeholders, you will ensure the success of these programs by building strong relationships, refining program processes, and supporting our strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end-to-end recruitment process for our clerkship and graduate positions, ensuring a positive candidate experience and a strong talent pipeline.
- Partnering with our marketing team to promote Maddocks through social media, attending university careers fairs and hosting online webinars and podcasts for law students
- Collaborating with the Learning & Development team to provide appropriate mentoring and training for our clerks and grads.
- Serving as an HR advisor to the clerks and grads, offering guidance on career development, performance management, and goal setting.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in early-career development and recruitment, and incorporate them into our programs and initiatives.
About You
The successful candidate will be passionate about Early Careers, have excellent stakeholder management skills and be a team player.
Furthermore you will have the following experience and skills:
- Ideally a minimum of two years relevant experience in an Early Careers or talent acquisition role.
- University qualifications in HR or a related discipline.
- Proven track record of engaging with senior leadership and working with an HR team.
- Excellent organisational skill with the ability to priorities activities alongside strong communication and presentation skills.
