We are a private Bush Camp on 80 acres in the forest and by the Murray river in Dwellingup that caters to the needs of schools, churches, youth groups, and other community-based groups. We can cater for over 300 across 3 large bunkhouses. We have been operating camps for over 40 years!
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Fulltime Caretaker with proven experience to join our team at Nanga Bush Camp. As a Caretaker, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the property whilst performing a range of duties and key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Welcome guests upon arrival, (school group intro talk about Nanga) provide assistance with inquiries, and ensure customer needs are met throughout their stay, fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Security: Monitor the premises, ensuring the safety and security of guests and promptly address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- General maintenance: ad-hoc duties as required.
- Administrative Duties: check-ins and check-outs efficiently, maintain accurate records for bond inspections, co-ordinate admin with head office.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, following established protocols to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
- Uphold the Nanga values and take a leadership role within the business fostering a culture of determined and passionate individuals who value teamwork, respect, safety and the environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar Caretaker or Caravan Park Environment necessary.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve effectively.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance tasks and willingness to learn new skills as required.
- Experience with bush fire management will be highly regarded.
- You will be familiar with risk assessment protocols.
- Valid driver's license, WWC and reliable transportation necessary.
