The Position
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
- Advising carriers of time slot requests in a timely manner
- Pro-actively chasing original Bills of Lading prior to ETA when required
- Checking payment terms and collecting COD payments prior to delivery
- Ensuring shipments are cleared of any customs and quarantine prior to cargo availability
- Dispatching EDO’s to the relevant carriers
- Co-ordinating shipment deliveries to meet client service agreements
- Maintaining shipment status information regarding planned delivery and actual delivery
- Confirming delivery requirements with customers
- FCL Cartage advice to transport companies/book LCL and airfreight transport
- Cross checking and entering transport costs into system
