AddressAn Australian exhibition and logistics company they specialise in Freight Forwarding, storage and on-site logistics, consulting and project management for the event and exhibition sector. Due to continued growth they have a requirement for an International Events Freight Forwarding Manager with exceptional attention to detail and customer service skills to join their team.
Reporting to the International Department -General Manager the successful candidate will take full responsibility for delivery on all quotes/jobs/shows as well as manage budget expectations for allocated events.
This diverse role will also require you to:
- Book and track jobs to ensure on time delivery.
- Ensure excellent customer service is executed by providing prompt and correct information regarding pricing, inventory, delivery status and all logistics related enquires.
- Close collaboration with customs brokers, ABF, and DAFF to facilitate clearance of goods adhering to customs regulations
- Coordinate with global agent network to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods designated for events / exhibitions across international borders.
- Generate quotes for exhibitors, invoicing and following up quotes & payments;
- Assist with answering phones and attend to phone enquires with potential customers and existing clients;
- Planning and organising logistics for various events and fairs including creation of manifests; bookings and confirmation with different transport/logistics services suppliers; producing labels and following schedules for pickups and deliveries.
- Working onsite to service exhibitors and customers at events and exhibitions when required
This role offers plenty of variety, no day or event is the same, as you will be dealing with a variety of commodities and international customers.
The ideal candidate will come with a variety of experience in both international air and sea freight operations or a strong Logistics background in the events industry. You will have strong attention to detail, be a self-starter with an ability to find solutions for customers along with flexibility in working on site at Events.
