About the Role
Case Managers work standard contact and non-contact hours each week. The position calls for flexibility and adaptability around your case load and the young person’s needs.
- Supervision of Youth workers and the facilitation of team meetings and performance management where necessary.
- Coaching and development of youth workers.
- Case planning and case inductions.
- Liaison with key stakeholders and support agencies including child protection agencies and departments in relevant states.
- Establishing a therapeutic care environment and positively managing the young person’s behaviour.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, tidiness, and comfort in the home environment.
- Adherence and role modelling of safe workplace health and safety legislation.
- Role Modelling Safe Places for Childrens Values; Supportive, responsive, professional, united, and passionate.
- Ensuring delivery of high-quality care leading to positive outcomes for children.
About You
Experience/Personal attributes we’re looking for:
- A minimum of 6 months experience working with children with challenging behaviours.
- Minimum qualification of certificate IV in Child Youth and Intervention or other recognised qualification.
- Ability to do shift work and in-home sleepovers.
- Ability to accommodate roster changes and on call requirements at short notice. We endeavour to complete. rosters 2 weeks in advance, though changes may occur due to the nature of the work.
- Ability to participate in weekly meetings.
- Successful completion of background screening.
- Full Australian Driver’s license for QLD.
Applicants must be eligible to live and work in Australia, hold an unrestricted driver's license, and be willing to undergo state-specific checks, including working with children clearance and relevant qualifications.
