Case Manager - Foster & Kinship Care

Our Client, a leading Out-of-Home-Care provider is currently recruiting for an experienced Case Manager to join their team based in Melbourne.
  
This role will involve;

• Conduct assessments of carers, providing education and skill development for the effective support of children in out-of-home care.
• Act as the primary contact for Foster & Kinship Carers.
• Build meaningful relationships with young people in foster care, collaborating with various stakeholders such as the Department of Child Safety, Health, and Education.
• Support and educate carers about the Child Protection system, assisting them in understanding legislation and its implications for both them and the children in their care.

The requirements for this role include;

• Hold a 3- or 4-year tertiary qualification in Social Work, Human Services, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of the child protection system, with desirable experience in supporting and mentoring children and young people in out-of-home care.
• Genuine desire to help people, with a commitment to continuous learning and skill development.

Additional Information 

• A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
