Barnardos are looking for a full-time permanentCase Manager for the Intensive Family Preservation Team based in Cranebrook, 2749
The Case Manager will be responsible for;
- Providing intensive in-home crisis intervention, assistance, and counselling for children at risk of significant harm and placement in out-of-home care
- Following up allocated referrals and engage with families within the program timescales
- Ensuring the child and family have a comprehensive case plan based on their identified strengths and needs
- Working collaboratively with the child’s family and relevant parties to ensure effective case planning, review processes and family conferencing.
- Undertaking transition planning to assist the family maintain changes with less intensive support
As a Case Manager, you will ideally have;
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Social Welfare related discipline
- Knowledge of child development and parenting capacity
- 2 years’ experience of working with children and young people and their family in a child protection context and knowledge of current child protection legislation
- Demonstrated experience of working with families in need of support services, including families with multiple complex needs and that may be experiencing acute crisis
- Demonstrated experience of using electronic case management tool
- Experience in running parenting groups or children’s groups
- Experience managing families in a crisis and safety planning

Salary: Base $71,136 to $87,961 per annum plus leave loading plus superannuation. Packaging available to receive $15,860 of your salary tax free. Motor vehicle packaging available on selected roles.
To be considered for roles with Barnardos you will need to have (or be willing to have conducted) a National Police Clearance and current Working with Children check Clearance (or APP number) and for the ACT a Drivers History Check, Working with Vulnerable People Card and CYPS Check.
