Your part in our UnitingCare Community team
We are currently seeking a passionate team player to join our Homelessness Service. The Case Worker will be based at our Bilinga site within the Gold Coast Homelessness Hub program. This is a fixed term full time role to June 30 2024, with a possibility to extend.
The ideal applicant will have experience working with singles, couples and families who are experiencing homelessness and who may present with complex barriers that impact their ability to obtain and maintain accommodation. They will be competent in identifying and assessing needs, strengths, safety and risk, including how to effectively safeguard children. They will have excellent communication, rapport building and problem solving skills, be able to work autonomously and to contribute to an established team of professionals.
What makes a difference for us?
You will have demonstrated experience providing case management support to vulnerable persons in crisis, with experience in the homelessness sector a distinct advantage. In addition to the above, you will be required to have:
- A Certificate IV in Community Services or be working towards a Bachelor Degree in a Human Services related field.
- Qld Drivers Licence.
- Blue Card.
