Why this role matters The Salvation Army is one of Australia’s largest providers of alcohol and other drug services. We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling, and withdrawal management services).

About the role We are seeking a values-driven Case Worker who will provide Alcohol and

Other Drug intensive case work (education, support interventions, assessment and referral) to individuals and families experiencing the impact of addiction from alcohol, drugs or gambling within an established framework. All support is achieved through recovery-based case management activities and working effectively with other members of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive client service within the values and mission of TSA. You will successfully Facilitate the assessment, intake, referral, educational/recreational support and case management activities for clients Develop and monitor Individual Treatment Plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports and data collection Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of AOD referral and support options for residents within TSA Network Develop case plans during the intake interview and update at each contact consultation in collaboration with the client Contribute to the development of Individual and group programs that meet the changing needs and interests of clients

This is a permanent, full-time position, based in Eagle Heights, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Level 4 Award. You will have Tertiary or other qualifications within Community Services, Social

Work or similar discipline, or extensive relevant experience with a minimum of Certificate IV qualifications in AOD Solid level of experience (minimum 2+ years) in the implementation of case management and systems for disadvantaged and/or complex needs clients. Knowledge of or experience in the drug and alcohol service provision Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and religions Experience working in collaboration with other organisations to develop and tailor programs to meet clients’ needs Understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing substance use disorders, mental ill-health and other disabilities is desirable A current Driver's licence What we offer
