HI Tide By the Beach is the on-site restaurant at the 4 1/2-star Peninsula Boutique Hotel located in Port Douglas, Queensland. Located opposite Four Mile Beach, we offer a modern Australian menu with a focus on fresh and seasonal produce, inspired by the views.
Currently open 7 days a week for Breakfast, and 5 nights a week for dinner service catering to our in-house guests and members of the public. Our restaurant prides itself on quality food presented beautifully.
We are looking for a Casual Breakfast cook, offering approximately 2 mornings a week. Additional hours may become available for the right applicant. This position would suit, an early riser who enjoys making the most of each day.
You should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience working in a similar position highly desirable.
- Enjoy working with and preparing quality food.
- A passion for the hospitality industry, with extensive food product knowledge
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
- Be friendly, sociable and welcoming to our customers, to create a great atmosphere
- Be honest and reliable
- Knowledge of WHS and food hygiene requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Availability for Morning breakfast shifts
- Prepare, store, and Maintain food products safely.
- Assist in food preparation and service as required at the property.
- Maintain a clean & safe working environment.
- Communicate efficiently and clearly with all team members in a harmonious way.
- Ensure that all standard recipes are followed.
- Monitor food quality and control.
- Ensure all Food Safety Standards are adhered to at all times.
- Adhere to the Hotels Policies and Procedures
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude is a must
