About the role:
We are currently looking for reliable and dedicated Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis in our newly established SIL house in Cranbourne. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assisting individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and hygiene needs.
- Provide short-term focused interventions, psychoeducation and mentoring to participants
- Support and assist participants to achieve their goals and needs in relation to their NDIS plan
- Supporting clients in their community engagement and participation in social and recreational activities.
- Administering medication and following healthcare plans under the guidance of qualified healthcare professionals.
- Implementing behavior support plans and providing emotional support and encouragement.
- Assisting with household tasks, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Mandatory requirements:
- Minimum 1+ years’ experience within the disability, community services or similar
- Certificate III or above in Disability Support or similar
- Experience working with people with mental health issues, complex needs
- Victorian Driver’s License
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 6 months.
- First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Valid Victorian Working with Children Check
- Manual handling certificate
- Medication assistance certificate
Must be available to work 20+ hours per week and able to work a rotating roster including sleepover shifts.
