About the role
Within this program of work, the Functional Business Analyst will undertake high level analytical and problem-solving activities that contribute to the University's digital transformation, including elicitation of system-based business requirements, translating these to integration and data migration requirements, mapping of current systems (data and processes), support to the UNE integration team and vendor.
The focus of the work will largely be related to the Ethics Review Management process to be facilitated via an online portal. The role will work within a cross-functional project team, business stakeholders and the vendor.
Membership and formal qualifications from the International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA) or similar are highly desirable.
This role will be at the HEO7/8 level depending on experience.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong skills and experience documenting business and system requirements and functional designs through process and system maps and workflows, using a range of tools and techniques.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops, running interviews and converting discussions and actions into business and system analysis artefacts.
- Proven experience engaging with a variety of stakeholders in multi-discipline teams including business stakeholders, developers, architects, and excellent interpersonal skills for consultation and the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to understand relationships between components of processes and the impact of changes in complex business environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, report writing and graphical presentation skills, and the ability to initiate, influence and maintain positive, productive relationships with all stakeholders.

- Highly desirable skills and experiences are:
- 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a complex project or programme environment.
- Experience with the integration and migration of data.
- Experience working in a University environment, research environment, or highly federated environment.
Integrated Services Division includes the areas of Estate & Built Environment, People & Culture, Legal Services Information Technology and Administration Services. The division is responsible for the physical deployment of support staff across UNE.
