Melbourne Institute of Technology (MIT) is a leading Private institute of Higher Education with campuses in Melbourne and Sydney. We provide IT, Networking, Analytics, Business, Accounting and Engineering (Telecommunications) programs, at bachelor’s and master’s degree levels, to Australian and International students.
About the roleWe seek lecturers with a PhD qualification and relevant experience to teach postgraduate and undergraduate courses in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
Roles available in Sydney campus.
Immediate opportunities available to commence in March 2024.
Must be avilable for teaching:
- Wednesdays: 9am - 2pm and/or
- Thursdays: 11am - 4.30pm
- Mandatory - Doctorate degree in a related discipline
- Mandatory - A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience at the tertiary level.
- Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education or equivalent qualification in addition to the requirements listed above.
- Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills.
- Online/eLearning and project supervision experience would be an advantage. MIT utilises Moodle.
- Expertise in data warehousing, data mining, and Data modelling.
- Proficiency in SQL or Python for analytics.
- Industry experience is desirable.
