Job description

Why Motivate Kids

Motivate Kids recognise that each one of us was drawn to the helping profession for one reason or another. We are compassionate individuals who love to grow, play and connect.

We understand that where you work forms a significant part of your life so we have thoughtfully created spaces that you can be just as excited about as our kids are. Our team culture offers opportunities to connect and a family to be a part of.

We are the culmination of each team member’s strengths, aspirations, and innovations and we believe we are better together. We work collaboratively to best meet the needs of our clients and support our therapists to continue their professional development with opportunities to enhance their repertoire of skills, therapy tools and growth for their career development.

About us

We are a leading South Australian Occupational Therapy private practice that was first established in 2017. Motivate Kids are dedicated to providing individual, innovative, specialised, and meaningful therapy services to help children and their families thrive. We utilise innovative, neurodiversity-affirming and evidence-based approaches to support children to build on their strengths and bridge the gaps in their development, so they can be the very best they can possibly be!

Where you will find us

Motivate Kids has 3 custom-designed studios located in Broadview, Salisbury, and Blakeview. Broadview is our purpose-designed and built, cutting-edge new studio that our team and families are loving (opened September 2023).

We have teamed up to deliver school-based therapy within Northfield Primary School and Tyndale Christian College (in Salisbury), and each school has its own fully resourced studio.

Motivate Kids also has a partnership with Emali (South Australian Early Education and Care provider), to deliver on-site consultancy services and fun OT activities in the centers during school holidays.

Our resources

Our studios are fully stocked with resources, swings, games, books, and assessments - never buy your own resources again! The Motivate Kids Office Team provides full administrative support to all therapists, including billing, scheduling, and sending out reports and comprehensive family communication.

Our schedule:

We offer therapy from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm on Saturdays. This provides our clients with increased opportunities to access therapy outside of school hours. Our full-time therapists (37.5 hours) work 4 days a week! Part-time and Casual working hours are welcomed (i.e 5-30 hours per week) and can be discussed further during the interview process.

Our therapist's growth

Motivate Kids believes in the importance of starting all our therapists on the right foot. Orientation includes learning from our suite of modules that are unique to the therapy approaches we use here at Motivate Kids. Clinical Supervision, Group Mentoring, OT Team Meetings and weekly check in with our director are an important part of our schedule and keep us all in rhythm. As we are dedicated to the ongoing learning and development of all our therapists, you will have your own yearly PD budget to select the training that aligns to your unique learning goals. We also offer a fully paid for in-house certification each year so we build skills as a team and continue to enhance our service delivery together.
