We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable people to join our event setup team on a casual basis. These opportunities are based in our Sydney CBD venues, close to public transport, and are ideal for school / university students who are looking for flexible shifts, mainly late afternoon / evening on weekdays, with some weekend and morning shifts also available.
Your general responsibilities will include:
- Carry out daily event room setups as part of a team of back of house staff, ensuring and run sheets are followed accurately
- Ensuring the event rooms and client spaces are clean and highly presentable
- Setting up rooms with our functionally innovative desks and chairs, designed for ease of relocation between event spaces
To be successful in the role you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in hospitality or events is preferred, although we welcome candidates eager to learn
- Basic IT / technical knowledge (e.g., how to Set Up a projector) is desirable
- Plenty of energy and physical fitness – moving equipment for room setups
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail to follow written procedures
- A willingness to learn and absorb new information
