Role summary

The Category Management Associate is responsible for supporting, developing, and delivering point of sale & market analysis monthly, as well as quarterly reports & reviews to support internal & strategic customer planning. 

This role will be accountable to support the Category Manager to help deliver consistent reporting for internal & external reviews. The associate will also support key customer ranging and event planning programs in line with aligned brand priorities.

What are your key responsibilities:

• Key channel & customer point of sale and market share reporting
• Develop and manage an effective data report calendar with the support of the category manager
• Create key event & promotional reviews to deliver improved category outcomes
• Implement ongoing planning structures to develop best in class & regular insightful reporting, to assist in successful brand and customer insights
• Support team with sales & marketing range reviews & program proposals for market analysis
• Effectively understand brand and customer priorities and utilise planning processes to drive strategic alignments
• Work cohesively with marketing and sales teams to deliver on brand strategies.

What you need to be successful:

• Minimum 2-3 years in similar role – Degree qualified preferred but not essential
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point 
• Experience in grocery, general merchandise and/or FMCG retail 
• Strong communication and attention to detail
• Advanced data & category analysis experience 
• Experience in customer & range review management support
• Self-motivated team player
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Knowledge of IRI/Circana, Neilson IQ and/or Quantium is advantageous.
