Your role is to drive revenue targets through the setting and delivery of the category strategy.
Please note: This role is a 12 month contract position.
What we’re looking for
The main responsibilities of this role are: - Develop and execute category strategies based on market analysis and competitor assessment.
- Collaborate with Buying and Planning team to ensure successful private label range.
- Contribute to category budget setting and act quickly to pursue revenue and profit opportunities.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to understand consumer preferences and engage top suppliers.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers and listings to enhance the product catalog.
- Independently conduct meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Build strong, commercial supplier relationships and implement account management plans.
- Contribute to internal and cross-departmental projects.
- Conduct regular reviews with internal teams to ensure operational compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Drive sales and margin through competitive and data-driven catalogue pricing, collaborating with creative and marketing teams for effective product promotion
What you already have
- Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline
- 3+ years experience in account management, category management, eCommerce or buying
- Deep industry knowledge
- Ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve strong business results
- Interest and experience in analysis of sales and data
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and analytical tools
