We're on the lookout for a strategic and results-driven Category Manager for Moulding and Textiles to join our Global Supplier Alliance (GSA) team and play a pivotal role in shaping ResMed's future success.
The Category Manager is part of the GSA team working with ResMed's suppliers and is expected to deliver sustainable value, operational excellence and innovation. As a Category Manager, you will focus on strategic sourcing activities, supply-base development and relationship management. You will provide direction to the wider business to establish and maintain a technology, quality and cost leadership position.
Let's Talk About the Role
- Strategic Category Management: Develop and implement Category Strategies, supporting new product introduction by providing a robust landscape of suppliers that can support strategic sourcing strategies for product development projects.
- Collaborative Stakeholder Engagement: Work hand in hand with stakeholders to craft and manage category strategies and maximize value from our supplier base. Analyze supplier spend to identify opportunities for delivering value, ultimately saving the company money.
- Supplier Relationship Excellence: Showcase your expertise in effective supplier relationship management and business reviews to foster innovation, deliver sustainable cost and value, gain a competitive advantage, and mitigate business and compliance risks.
- Global Procurement Support: Take the lead in sourcing the required materials, components, services, etc. Coordinate global supplier management activities to ensure a cohesive, efficient and standardised approach.
Let's Talk About You:
Ideally you should have experience in managing Operations focused Inventory categories with a strong track record of cross functional stakeholder management preferably within the medical device or high-volume manufacturing industries.
You should have the ability to play a strategic role and apply functional knowledge and existing methodologies to solve complex problems. You should also possess strong influencing and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, navigate complex discussions, articulate ideas persuasively, and build consensus among team members and external partners.
Additional success factors:
- Experience in assessing and sourcing new textile material and moulding technologies.
- Developed a wide network into plastic moulding, fabric suppliers and textiles research agency/ institutes in the SE Asia region.
- Familiar with manufacturing processes of moulding, fibre, yarn, fabric, foam, and secondary processes such as dyeing, printing, die-cut, ultrasonics welding and sewing.
- Experience in dealing with elastic (stretchable) and breathable textiles and products with high intimacy such as inner wear, sport wear, shoes and medical purpose garments.
