About the role
We are seeking Catering Assistants to join the kitchen team in our client's aged care facilities located around Newcastle/Central Coast, NSW area.
Shift Schedule
- Morning and afternoon shift available across 7 days.
- Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply.
* The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine and provide a current NDIS Worker Screening Check or be willing to apply for one. *
Skills and experience
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines
- Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
- The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.
- Well-presented and good customer service skills.
- Access to own reliable transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing meal service to aged care residents.
- Cleaning of serveries and dining room set up
- Adhering to and completing food safety/quality assurance documents
- Washing dishes in the main kitchen and plating of meals
- Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen
- Function set up and clear down
- Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day-to-day tasks
- Food and beverage service
