Dubbo Private Hospital is currently recruiting for a Full Time Catering Manager/ Cook to join our dedicated Hospitality Services team. Dubbo Private Hospital is committed to providing the highest quality Catering Service and is continually striving for improved performance. The role of the Catering Manager is to manage the operational and business direction of the Catering Department within the strategic direction of Dubbo Private Hospital. In particular, ensure strict hygiene standards, compliance with Food Authority Accreditation process including food service to Vulnerable Persons, the efficient and effective use of human and financial resources to ensure positive outcomes and best customer service in line with statutory requirements.

Dubbo Private is a busy, multi-service facility, offering a variety of workplace experiences in a private hospital setting. Your duties and responsibilities will include assessing, planning and implementing patient care plans; reporting and paperwork as relevant to your role; completing regular, ongoing mandatory education and training; working as part of a professional, multi-disciplinary team; and maintaining compliance with all relevant Healthe Care policies and practices.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated Experience in Hospitality Industry
- Knowledge of standard 3.2.2A of the Australian New Zealand Food Standards Code
- Completion of Food Safety Supervisors Course
- Ability to manage a catering services budget
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory / management position
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to give direction, problem solve and promote teamwork
- Ability to recruit, manage, train and support a multidisciplinary team of staff
- Excellent Organisational, communication and time management skills
- An understanding of a Food Safety Program, HACCP,
- Quality Management Processes and WHS requirements
- Proficiency with computers and information technology systems
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and quality improvement
- Evidence of COVID-19 & influenza vaccinations
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in the management of Catering &/or Environmental Services within a hospital environment
- Experience with a time keeping system such as UKG or Kronos
