About us
The Fire House is a heritage-listed venue with a smokery and cocktail bar in the South East. It pays homage to all things smoked from its meats to its whisky. Our food is a showcase of quality local produce, smoked in-house over hardwood. We specialize in array of slow smoked meats with modern techniques. We love good food and service, and focus on simple things done well. Our produce is sourced locally and seasonally with a sustainable focus. We are currently looking for CDP / Commis Chef with immediate start. We're building a fantastic team of like minded chefs and hospitality professionals that enjoy a challenge, hard work and rewarding efforts. Your day to day will include prep, service and creative input into menu development, flavour combinations and cooking techniques.
Qualifications & experience
- CDP Must have at least 5 years of experience. Knowledge of American bbq and smoking techniques would be an advantage, if not training can be provided.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assist the senior chefs in preparing a variety of meals according to menu and orders
- Work efficiently to ensure timely delivery of dishes to guests
- Maintain consistent food standards and cleaning/hygiene routines
