About the opportunity

Duties and Responsibilities (based on role):

  • Assist the Head Chef oversee daily operations and standards of the kitchen; 
  • Organise and plan the preparation and cooking of food;
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience and maintain high customer satisfaction;
  • Ownership and execution of BOH processes;
  • Develop and execute training program to ensure high standards;
  • Uphold health and safety regulations and ensure staff compliance with hygiene standards and food handling practices.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new culinary concepts, and competitors' offerings to ensure the restaurant remains competitive and innovative

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar or higher role within the restaurant industry; 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with staff, guests, and suppliers;
  • Basic understanding of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, cost control, and inventory management;
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to enforce compliance;
  • Passion for the culinary arts and an interest in staying updated with industry trends;
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Summary of role requirements:

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role
  • Working rights required for this role
  • Expected start date for role: 01 June 2024
  • Expected salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
