Paloma Wine Bar is from the team behind the Gold Coast’s highly awarded and much praised Restaurant Labart. Located in the heart of Burleigh Heads on bustling James Street, Paloma is a neighbourhood Wine Bar offering Gold Coast locals and visitors a relaxed environment to enjoy interesting wines and small plates. Less than a year after opening, Paloma was awarded Gourmet Traveller Magazine’s 2023 Wine Bar of the Year.
About the role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manager to lead our front of house team. We are looking for a passionate, hard-working hospitality professional to join us in Burleigh.
What we are looking for
The successful applicant will have:
- Minimum 1 year experience managing a high end restaurant or Wine Bar
- Excellent wine knowledge and a true passion for hospitality
- Experience in training and mentoring front of house staff
- Positive, motivated, systems-driven personality
- The initiative and drive to deliver the high standard of customer service we pride ourselves on
- Exceptional communication skills when dealing with staff, customers and suppliers
- The ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively in a fast paced environment
- Experience with rostering, stocktake, ordering, labour and goods costings
Reporting directly to the owners of the business, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Paloma’s front of house. This is a full time role and requires a strong commitment to understanding the business structure and brand culture. You will work closely with the Restaurant Labart management team and there is strong opportunity for growth and development within the business for the right person.
