About West Leederville Private Hospital
Based in Perth, West Leederville Private Hospital has been providing exceptional care to both day stay and overnight patients since opening in 2017. The hospital provides a range of multidisciplinary services to both adult and paediatric patients including Orthopaedic Hand & Shoulder Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive. West Leederville Private Hospital features 8 overnight beds situated in the Ward, 5 Stage I recovery beds, 6 Stage II recovery beds and 3 Stage III Recliners.
We are looking for a CEO/Director of Nursing (CEO/DoN) who loves to be hands-on, leading by example to strengthen the hospital’s pre-eminent position in the day surgery sector. Ideally, the successful candidate will be someone who thrives in a varied role and equally enjoys opportunities to promote the hospital to assure its potential.
The CEO/ Director of Nursing will be responsible for:
- Managing and mentoring staff, reflecting a consultative leadership style
- Building rapport and developing effective relations with key stakeholders
- Undertaking business development activity
- Strategic planning and positively implementing change
- Continuous improvement, OH&S and risk management.
- Quality Management Systems and the ACQSHC National Standards requirements for accreditation
To be successful in this position, you should be able to meet the following criteria:
- Current AHPRA registration
- 3-5 years’ experience in senior nursing or hospital management positions
- Post graduate nursing / management qualification desirable
- Current operating theatre experience in the areas of Anaesthetics, Recovery and Perioperative
- A demonstrated history of managing and mentoring staff, reflecting a consultative leadership style
- Able to demonstrate business development activity
- The ability to strategically plan and positively implement change
- A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Quality Management Systems and the NQSHC National Standards requirements for accreditation
- A thorough understanding of continuous improvement, OH&S and risk management.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
