Our client, Children's Health Queensland (CHQ) Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS), are currently seeking a Change Lead for an initial 6+ month contract.
The Project
CHQ HHS is transitioning its Soft Facilities Management (FM) services (food, security, porters, cleaning) in-house and requires a new Clinical Food and Menu Management (CFMM) solution to replace the legacy Menu Management system which is owned and operated by the incumbent contracted Soft FM service provider.
Responsibilities
- Apply high level leadership and support change management activities with clinical and non-clinical staff during the implementation of the CFMM project at CHQ HHS.
- Lead and manage the definition, documentation and successful completion of the business readiness elements of a medium scale, complex change in line with CHQ HHS program and project management methodologies.
- Promote and ensure the use of appropriate change management techniques, methodologies and tools to ensure quality change management outcomes are delivered.
- Manage project change resources.

- Promote and ensure the use of appropriate change management techniques, methodologies and tools to ensure quality change management outcomes are delivered.
- Manage project change resources.
- Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders, facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business, and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
- Manage capability and resource development by leading and mentoring multi-disciplinary project team(s).
- Work closely with the CFMM project team and business stakeholders in planning for and the implementation of the CFMM solution with a focus on business readiness, communications and other change management activities.
- Develop the Change and Engagement strategy in collaboration with CHQ Clinical Informatics Change Managers, the project team and business stakeholders, ensuring adherence to CHQ HHS policy and procedures.
- Develop the Training Strategy (Training Needs Analysis, Training Plan) and supporting training collateral in collaboration with the project team, business stakeholders and suppliers.
- Establish highly functioning stakeholder engagement forums and relationships to ensure strong user adoption and project success.
- Manage and support the delivery of training to CHQ HHS staff in collaboration with the project team, CHQ Clinical Informatics and suppliers.
Mandatory qualifications / professional registrations / other role requirements:
- Experience in ICT change roles at a senior level, combined with a good understanding and expertise of Queensland Health systems and processes.
- Experience or exposure to Menu Management systems and processes as well as HBCIS, Patient Flow Manager (Kyra Flow) and ieMR is highly regarded.
- There are no mandatory qualifications or requirements for this position. However, CHQ HHS values enhanced work performance which may be gained from the expanded knowledge base and skills acquired during formal tertiary training and encourage both existing and potential staff to participate in lifelong learning. Completion of a relevant degree is desirable.
