Job description

Reporting to the Head Chef of Rozelle's at Carrick Hill and in some cases working with the Favaro Group Executive Chef, you will assist with the development and implementation of venue activities. Success in this role would ensure optimal customer satisfaction and profitability.

Other key focus areas of this position will be to:

  • Represent the Favaro Group in an enthusiastic and positive manner.
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience across the venue.
  • Display commitment to the Favaro Group values and procedures.

About You:

You will have previous experience in a Chef de Partie role or similar, and you are now ready to move into a role to progress your career.

-Proven track record in similar positions, with a focus on a range of clientele.
-Previous experience managing, working in and leading a kitchen team.
-Strong decision-making skills coupled with a proactive work ethic.
-Passion for the industry.
-Self-motivated, driven and energised in a fast-paced environment.
-Highly organised.
-Details orientated.
-Willingness to develop your own skills and knowledge.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes.
  • Assisting the Head Chef and in some cases the Executive Chef of the Favaro Group in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes.
  • Compliance in both regulatory and company standards.
  • Maintenance of food safety and hygiene standards in partnership with the Head Chef.
  • Managing and training any Commis Chefs.
  • Monitoring portion and waste control.
  • Knowledge and ability to run a section.
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Ability to produce good quality food in all sections good oral communication.
  • Oversees the operations and staff of the kitchen.
  • Assisting the Head Chef in any duties they deem suitable.
  • Creating and maintaining an atmosphere where customer service standards can thrive.

Rozelle's at Carrick Hill trades 10am to 4:30pm Wednesday to Sunday & Public Holidays, so weekend availability is required, but this role will be mostly days.
