Salary: $73,000 to $75,000 plus superannuation guarantee p/year

Description:

Chez Pierre is a fine dining restaurant serving traditional French cuisine which is well known in the area since 2007.

The restaurant is looking for Chef de Partie with a deep on the job knowledge of French/Mediterranean cuisine. The successful candidate would have at least 3 years of experience in the role and be able to:

· Prepare, cook and serve quality dishes in an efficient and consistent manner

· Experience in making homemade fresh pasta

· Prepare and cooking/backing artisan products such homemade bread and pasta

· Prepare, cook and serve foods for special dietary requirements and understanding cross contamination

· Research and select items to be placed on the menu estimated costs and determine the price

· Organise and order the required food supplies as food and ingredients

· Liaise with suppliers in order to ensure the best quality of the ingredients at the best costs

· Maintain stock of all ingredients in regular manner

· Garnish and ensure a good presentation of the dishes

· Supervise the presentation of the dishes

· Ensure that the quality of raw and cooked food are up to standard

· Inspect and maintain the equipment and work areas to ensure conformance up to standards

· Assisting the head chef in deciding the menu

· Assisting the head chef in the smooth running of the kitchen

· Organise and keep the kitchen up to adequate sanity standards
