Carrington is a not-for-profit centre of excellence for retirees, and has been providing state-of-the-art services and accommodation for independent living, assisted living, residential care and community care since 1889. Located in the historic village of Camden, Carrington is situated on 400 acres with an idyllic garden and bushland setting, with sweeping views over the Camden Valley. 

The Role:

Carrington has an exciting opportunity for a Part TimeChef De Partie role. The role will be providing quality services across our four Residential Care facilities and Assisted Living facility. This role will include but not limited to, presentation of desserts including plating up, preparing high quality desserts or pastries and preparing texture modified food in accordance with our consumers dietary requirements.

The right applicant will be working in a team with experienced Chefs, which you will be able to apply your culinary and banqueting knowledge and skills to deliver high quality food services to our consumers.

Essential Criteria:

• Commis III or Chef de Partie culinary experience
• Experience in banquet kitchen or bulk cooking
• Passion in production and presentation of desserts, pastries and texture modified food
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate would be highly regarded
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of self-awareness
• Driver’s license and reliable transport
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
• Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as a part of a team
• Excellent time management skills
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts – Early or late shifts and weekend work
