About the role:
In this role, you will be responsible for preparation and delivery of high quality nutritious meals to residents whilst ensuring a high standard of food safety is maintained, supervising a dedicated team of staff. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Preparation, presentation and serving of high quality food to residents in accordance with food safety legislation
- Leading and managing a team of qualified food services assistants
- Ensuring compliance with the food safety plan at all times
- Maintaining accurate kitchen documentation
- Ensuring the kitchen area and equipment is cleaned and maintained to an appropriate standard
- Developing and maintaining key relationships with residents, staff and facility management
- Assuming the role of Food Safety Supervisor at the site.
About you:
- Certificate qualification (Essential)
- Minimum 3 years experience in commercial kitchen environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of diverse and modified dietary requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for food and the preparation of appetising and nutritious meals for our residents.
