Shields St Eats venue is located in Redcliffe, just a stones throw away from the water. You will be working with a young, friendly and vibrant crew, all eager to learn new skills. We are a busy venue with amazing potential, producing Legendary Woodfired Pizzas and Burgers as well as a restaurant menu with classic pub flair.
We currently operate 7 days for lunch and dinner, and soon to be weekends for breakfast.
Reporting directly to the Venue Manager you will have the overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our weekend Breakfast as well as lunch and dinner trade.
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Tasks & responsibilities
- Preparation of weekend Breakfast trade meals to a high standard
- Food preparation, cooking and plating lunch & dinner
- Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
- Contributing with menu and special ideas
- Running a section
- Training of staff
- Monitoring portions and controlling waste
- Ensuring high standards of food hygiene
- Keeping all working areas clean and tidy and ensuring all equipment is maintained, serviced, and cleaned to WHS standards
Qualifications & experience Ideal for the role
- All levels of experience considered
- All relevant qualifications including food safety supervisors certificate
- Cost control
- Woodfired Pizza experience a plus
- Breakfast cook experience a must
