Chef Manager - Aged Care Home
This is your opportunity to excel in your profession by managing the catering operations of a well established Aged Care Facility located in Rosewood.
About the position
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will responsible for all aspects of catering within the facility. This will include planning and preparing nutritious, flavoursome and well presented meals to ensure the individual needs of our residents are being met and making certain each resident is offered a choice.
You will be assisted by a team of cooks and assistant cooks who in addition to working in the kitchen will be responsible for food service.
Additionally you will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all accreditation requirements including Food Safety Regulations. The Aged Care Commission states that providing “delicious and nutritious meals and a positive dining experience are important parts of a healthy and happy life”. We want to embrace this ethos and your contribution will be vital to achieving this.
As the Chef Manager you will form part of the management team of the facility.
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Diploma of Hospitality
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Extensive experience in aged care or other health care environment
- A willingness to manage the kitchen staff and be a vehicle for positive change
