The Pizza & Pasta Kitchen / Claudia Road café, Toongabbie, has a great opportunity for a Chef to join our growing team.
This full-time position will be ideal for someone who has experience in high volume kitchens, with a passion to excel and works well under pressure.
We are looking for a candidate to be completely flexible, with the ability to work evenings and weekends.
The roleReporting to our Head Chef and Food & Beverage Manager, the successful candidate will:
· Manage all day-to-day operations of the hot section of the kitchen and any other section as directed by the Head Chef and Food & Beverage Manager.
· Ensure excellent quality throughout all meal offerings;Supervise and coordinate preparation and presentation;
About you
- Certificate III in commercial cookery, or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Commis/Demi Chef or equivalent
- Be able to work independently and part of team.
- Be extremely well presented
- Be highly organised and dedicated to the tasks presented.
- Work in a friendly and respectful manner with fellow employees
- Good communication skills and great ability to work as part of a team
- Outstanding multitasking capability and willingness to work in a highly demanding position
- An eye for detail and the ability to produce high quality consistent food products
- An outstanding ability to work with both FOH and BOH service teams.
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
- Carry a high standard of personal hygiene and exceptional food prep, cooking and presentation standards.
- Have full availability
- Valid Australian working rights

Pay: $70,000.00 - $73,000 per year
