Nanyima Care is a stand-alone Not-for-Profit Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF), under the governance of dedicated volunteers from within our local community, who contribute to the planning, management, and growth of the facility. The Role
What you will do:
- Oversee the creation and execution of a diverse and appealing menu that aligns with Apollo Care's mission and meets residents' individual medical, nutritional, and preference needs.
- Collaborate with the residential service manager to ensure seamless coordination between catering services and overall care plans.
- Implement innovative strategies for cost-effective meal preparation and delivery without compromising quality.
- Conduct regular training sessions to keep catering services staff updated on industry best practices and evidence-based approaches.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture within the catering department, ensuring a supportive work environment.
- At least 2 years experience as a chef in a residential aged care setting (Desirable)
- At least 2 years experience as a chef in an equivalent or related role (Mandatory)
- Completed Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Completed Food Safety Supervisor Course
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & interpersonal)
- Hold and maintain NDIS Worker Checks as per NDIS Act 2013
