Role Overview:
As the Head Chef – Event Catering, you will play a pivotal role in our kitchen operations, from meticulous food preparation and delivery to maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include overseeing kitchen staff, managing stock, and contributing to menu development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead event catering operations, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning efforts.
- Implement food safety protocols and monitor compliance.
- Manage stock levels, minimize wastage, and place orders as necessary.
- Coordinate food preparation for corporate events and onsite delivery.
- Develop innovative menus and identify new product opportunities.
- Create production reports and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Prepare monthly reports for the Executive Chef.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Efficient food preparation and elevated presentation standards.
- Timely delivery of services and positive customer feedback.
- Adherence to food safety guidelines and accurate order labelling.
- Effective management of a clean and organized work environment.
- Compliance with company recipes, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualified Chef with at least three years of commercial kitchen experience.
- Proficiency in sandwich making and baking.
- Ability to manage staff and workflows in a team environment.
- Possession of a manual driver’s license.
- Strong customer service, problem-solving, and computer skills.
- Desirable: Experience with wok cooking, onsite event catering, and function organization. First aid and RSA certificates are a plus.
