Banh Mi & Noodle Co is Vietnamese style cuisine in the heart of Dandenong. We are looking for a switched on, driven, hardworking Chef/Head Chef to bring the food to life in our venue. They must be creative with food while still managing their staff and kitchen operations accordingly.
They will inspire and motivate their kitchen team and ensure every customer leaves with a smile on their face. They will be responsible for the food from conception through to execution, ensuring they are suitably organised, the team are working in unison and rostered appropriately, ordering and expenses are in line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Development: Design and implement creative and seasonal menus that align with the restaurant’s vision and standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and inspire a team of kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Quality Control: Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Cost Management: Oversee food inventory, manage costs, and minimize waste to achieve financial targets.
- Compliance: Ensure all kitchen operations comply with health and safety regulations.
- Customer Satisfaction: Engage with guests and gather feedback to continually improve the dining experience.
- Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends and integrate new techniques and ingredients into the menu.
