Maroomba Airlines has a vacancy for a suitably qualified person with a strategic, contemporary, and commercial focus.
Reporting directly to the Directors, an opportunity exists for an experienced and professional individual to take up the position of Chief Executive Officer. This person will be responsible for the strategic development and growth of the company and in representing the company to the outside world.
Qualifications
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in Management or similar discipline.
- Demonstrated proficient computer literacy.
Desirable
- Crew Resource Management / Human Factors Course.
- DAMP Awareness training.
- Lead auditors ’course.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Management and oversight of all operations conducted under the AOC and Part 145 approvals.
- Maintain an organisation that is appropriate in scale and experience to deliver on the Vison, Values & objectives approved by the board.
- Fulfil the obligations of the Responsible Manager (CASA approved) for the AOC and Part 145 organisations.
- Ensure the organisation operates within the regulations and approvals required by all applicable statutory regulators.
- Ensure the Company finances are professionally managed and sufficient financial resources are maintained to achieve the strategic objectives.
- Ensure the organisation is optimised to maximise its financial performance, whilst delivering on its vision and long-term objectives.
- Maintain a strong network of client and industry contacts to ensure the business remains at the forefront of opportunities.
- Maintain strategic relationships with all critical external stakeholders.
- Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities to ensure sufficient revenue is maintained to support the objectives of the strategic plan.
- Ensure all operations are conducted safely, compliantly and embrace the aspirations contained with the vision statement.
- Provide the board of directors adequate reporting, updates, and guidance to ensure they can meet their responsibilities.
Skills and experience
- Extensive experience in a leadership or senior management role within the aviation industry or similar industry.
- Working knowledge of Australian aviation legislation, airport and airline operational policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team to achieve organisational improvement.
- Knowledge of Aviation Legislation in Australia.
- Well-developed conceptual, strategic, analytical, and financial abilities.
- Experience in contract negotiations.
- Extensive network of Aviation and Mining.
