AddressBJE / Board of Jewish Education is seeking an accomplished executiveto lead the organisation in its mission to provide every Jewish child who attends a non-Jewish Day School with access to a Jewish education and community.
About BJE:
BJE empowers over 2,000 Jewish children who attend government and non-Jewish independent schools with the opportunity to connect and develop Jewish friendship networks, to learn through formal and informal experiences and to engage with and actively contribute to Jewish life, Jewish community organisations and broader society.
About the role:
Reporting directly to the BJE Board, the primary purpose of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) role is to provide effective leadership to steer BJE towards continued growth and impact in the field of Jewish Education. The CEO will have the opportunity to make this role their own, with a Board that welcomes innovation and initiative.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing strategic opportunities for BJE in alignment with the Board's vision
- Leading and nurturing a culture of innovation and empowerment within the organisation
- Recruiting and developing passionate educators to ensure program success
- Strengthening Jewish continuity by promoting BJE's vision and values

About you:
- Demonstrated success in executive roles such as CEO, General Manager, Executive Director or similar positions.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams (circa 30 staff), fostering a positive organisational culture.
- Deep commitment to BJE’s vision of providing all Jewish children who attend a non-Jewish Day School with a clear sense of belonging and purpose, to reach their full potential and have a positive impact on the world around them.
