About the role
Reporting to the Managing Director the Chief Financial Officer will play a crucial role in setting and implementing strategies and building financial goals that will support the overarching objectives of the business.
Responsibilities of the role
The CFO role will have broad involvement impact on profitability and the future development of the business, responsibilities include:
- Lead your team through preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections
- Very carefully manage cash flow, optimise working capital through expense control and appropriate inventory investment
- Identify opportunities beyond budget that can positively impact on improving profit (revenue enhancement / cost reduction)
- Lead and effectively control full financial reconciliation of inventory holding
- Ensure timely production of Management Reporting ensuring financial data integrity, providing detailed insights and developing solutions with management team highlighting opportunities
- Develop and implement internal policies, drive efficiencies in systems and processes
- Actively participate with key executives in full forecast reviews
- Manage customer contact process in order to understand debtor risk and timely collections
- Ensure compliance with finance regulations and all internal controls
- Previous experience leading finance function within an industrial importing, manufacturing environment
- Tertiary qualifications with CA
- Understanding of multiple sites and multiple company structures
- Member of ELT, contributes to development of strategic initiatives
- Excellence in analysis and commercial understanding, development of high revenue low cost initiatives
- Strong finance team leadership and development
- Decisive action oriented team player, work hard, be proud and celebrate wins
- Understand the business in detail, knows the numbers intimately, is very well prepared
