About the Role:
The MS Society SA & NT is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer, or Senior Finance Manager ready to be a Chief Financial Officer reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
As the Chief Financial Officer, you will help shape the financial landscape of the organisation. You will be responsible for overseeing all the financial and fiscal management aspects of the organisation operations, as well as contributing to the strategic direction of the business. Collaborating with the Executive Leadership Team you will establish performance measures and provide expert financial advice. The Executive Leadership Team is a high-performance team who embrace a supportive collaborative culture.
What you will be doing…
- Provide leadership in the evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
- Compliance management and reporting including audits and contracts.
- Model, forecast and report on financial implications of business activities.
- Manage & negotiate with critical stakeholders.
- Manage cashflow, forecasting impacts of current and future property developments.
- Lead the risk management frameworks.
- Leading a finance team and organisation through change.
About You:
You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and using your financial acumen to drive change. As a seasoned senior financial manager, you relish turning data into information to support informed decision making. You are a big picture thinker while still maintaining strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach.
A natural leader with a high degree of integrity and professionalism, you possess outstanding commercial acumen, and you thrive in driving change along with managing complex and high-level stakeholder relationships. Leading a high performing team, you will ensure robust risk management and compliance frameworks are in place in support of the company’s goals.
Additionally, we are seeking the following:
- Proven people leader
- Experience leading a finance function within a NFP environment.
- Experience in leading change projects and business transformation.
- Proven communication, commercial acumen and strategic thinking including planning and modelling strategic initiatives.
- CA, or CPA qualified.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
