Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services, with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing, container pack/unpack, distribution, over-dimensional, heavy haulage, project logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping Symons Clark Logistics to analyse, strategise, and grow their financial position. As a seasoned strategist not only will you understand current accounting practices and trends, but also have experience raising capital and adapting to change.
What you will be doing…
- Providing strong leadership, guidance, and direction to the Finance Team.
- Effectively communicating and implementing organisational change initiatives to deliver against Symons Clark Logistics Strategic Plan.
- Preparing group budgets and forecasts.
- Delivering timely and accurate monthly consolidated results and accompanying analysis, including reconciliation (monthly, quarterly, or annually), Balance Sheet, P&L, Fixed Asset Register Maintenance, and Cashflow Management.
- Providing taxation planning and advice.
- Overseeing and managing external stakeholders for taxation planning and advice.
- Completing statutory tax compliance, including BAS, PAYG, FBT, Income Tax, and Payroll Tax calculations and lodgements.
- Providing accurate annual statutory reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
- Assisting with financial planning, i.e., 5-year performance reporting.
- Deliver quarterly and accurate financial statements, and income tax models including proactively managing the audit and legal process.
- Manage month end close.
- Mange annual audits.
- Actively lead and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Do you have…
- CA/ CPA qualification with a strong Financial Accounting background.
- Demonstrated experience in a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role, or similar role within the transport industry or related industry.
- Demonstrated experience working with accounting systems, i.e., MYOB (Greentree).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and professionally across departments.
- Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
- Advanced attention to detail and analytical skills.
