YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is seeking applications from suitably qualified persons for the position as Workshop Supervisor for PeterMac's Radiation Engineering Mechanical Workshop team.
This position involves overseeing the Workshop Team in the design and manufacturing of specialized equipment for Radiotherapy, Research and other departments within PeterMac and external customers
Applicants should possess the following skills:
- In the operation of workshop equipment: mill, lathe, welder, CNC and 3D Printer
- Design, Manufacturing processes and project management
- You would need to have a trade certificate in toolmaking, fitting and machining
- CAD software, project management applications and office computer application skills
- Have had proven experience in a supervisory/foreman capacity in your career
- Excellent team inclusive and customer focused communication skills are essential.
- Regulatory standards compliance
The successful applicant's main role will be to ensure cohesive, efficient and safe operation of the Radiation Engineering Mechanical Workshop duties would include: Coordinating Radiotherapy Equipment services, prioritising and delegating workshop jobs, maintaining Mechanical Workshop databases, quoting on jobs, ordering supplies and communicating with the Radiation Engineering team and customers.
