The Role
This exciting opportunity offers the right candidate a Project Engineering/ Mechanical Design role for Automation Projects both locally and internationally.
Projects range from robotic and automation cells to integration of machine tools and special purpose equipment, predominantly for manufacturers.
For technically minded and motivated individuals this role will provide you with the chance to take your technical skills to the next level whilst being involved in interesting and fulfilling projects.
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Complete system design and detailing of projects in 3D CAD
- Managing projects from conception to execution
- Numerous projects at different stages, simultaneously
- Participation in hands-on build activities
- Completion and sign off including FAT/SAT
- Participation in installations at customers sites
- Post installation customer support
- Administration and reporting
- National and international projects as required
- Project costing
- Sales support
The Person
- Advanced 3D CAD design and detailing skills
- Experience managing automation/ robotic projects from conception to completion
- Experience in Automation and or Manufacturing industries
- Knowledge of robotics an advantage
- Ability to work to deadlines and budgets
- Understands and manages external and internal customer expectations
- Team player
- MS Office skills
- A highly motivated self-starter
- Enthusiastic and well organised
- Excellent communicator
- Experience within a machine tools manufacturing environment will be of value
