Job Overview
This senior management role is to be the strategic and operational conduit and problem solver between all teams in the office. The role is a key member of the Genfocus senior management team, reporting to the Directors, being fully involved in all aspects of the business from a strategic and financial levels to successful delivery. The role focuses on establishing procedures, systems, reporting and relationships across the business to ensure that all aspects of it run efficiently and effectively. It involves maintaining line of sight visibility and control of a diverse range of business operations, which requires broad and deep business management experience.
The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality and sustainability of the business to drive sustainable growth. The role involves coordinating and ensuring everything that needs to get done is done and proactively identifies and removes road blocks and solves problems to allow the team to keep progressing towards business goals.
As a senior manager, this role also is central to the recruitment, retention and performance of employees within the business.
About You
We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented and flexible individual to join our team, based in Deakin, ACT. Our ideal candidate will be degree qualified in a relevant field and have demonstrated experience in either a broad commercial, project management, financial leadership role where you have a proven track record working effectively as part of the senior management team, and as a trusted advisor to senior management.
Naturally, you will have highly developed written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills and, of course, a strong alignment of values with the mission and purpose of Genfocus.
