ABOUT YOU:
Boards of Directors & senior leaders in the workplace have described you as the best “Results Orientated High Performance Operations Manager of the Century”. Furthermore, you are a true strategic thinker and doer with a long-standing track record in strategically managing teams.
You have extensive leadership experience, having worked your way up to an executive role. We believe this trajectory helps a person develop a unique mix of business and management expertise, plus proficiency with the practices, policies, and procedures of our industry or a similar industry. You have a minimum of 10 years senior operations / COO experience, preferably in a service-based business sector.
You are comfortable with interpreting boardroom level strategy and communicating it as simple operational strategy for the troops at the front line. Your colleagues will be able to tell us that you have an uncanny ability to take a financial goal, then engineer a plan, allocate resources, and implement that plan through to goal achievement. Global Operations Management experience will be advantageous. You MUST BE COACHABLE and have a business history showing this.
This role requires a strategic thinker who is equally adept at developing and executing operational plans, optimising growth opportunities, and building and maintaining strong, high trust relationships with all levels of team members. You will have the opportunity to truly shape the future, working closely with a dynamic executive team with an ambitious growth agenda.
Not mandatory, but it is likely that you have done some tertiary education that supports your career in operations – and candidates that have achieved a similar status through the university of life (school of hard knocks) should also be encouraged to apply.

THE ROLE:
As the COO your role will include but is not limited to:
- Reporting to the Board of Directors and CEO
- You will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and play a crucial part in leading the business coaching and operations departments, managing a high-performance team of coaches and team leaders
- Working with the CEO, you will allocate resources and design the organisation chart assisting us to expand into a further 10 countries in the next 7 years
- Responsibilities include setting and driving organisational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels and implement business strategies and plans that align with the short and long-term objectives developed in tandem with CEO
- Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organisation-wide goal setting, performance management to include performance reviews, write and monitor KPI’s and annual operations planning
- Oversee team productivity, building a high-performance culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organisational goals are met
- Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary
- Monitor performance and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts, statistics, and analytics
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
HERE’S WHAT QUALITIES ARE REQUIRED
- You must be either an Australian Citizen or hold Permanent Resident status with full work rights
- A solid track record of driving revenue growth and building a reputation for quality and excellence
- Strong understanding of procurement, and the complexities and compliance requirements within international business expansion
- Commercially astute with a comprehensive business perspective
- Working cross-functional and collaboratively to develop practical and profitable solutions
- Skilled in change management, with the ability to steer, optimise, and unify organisational transitions effectively
- Strong process orientation with a focus on standardising and achieving efficiency across operations
- Effective communicator and networker, who builds high levels of trust and confidence with internal and external stakeholders
- Capable of interstate and international travel (limited to 2-3 weeks per year)
