We are looking for an experienced People and Culture Manager to join our extraordinary and close-knit team.

The Energy and Water Ombudsman (Victoria) (EWOV) is a not-for-profit, independent and impartial dispute resolution service. Your new role and organisation
The People and Culture team is responsible for creating an exceptional employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle, using robust people processes and policies and managing our cyclical people activities. We are focused on creating a unique culture that supports the wellbeing and development of all our people, enabling them to be their best and deliver for our members and the community.
As our People and Culture Manager, you will use your strong operational and strategic HR experience to lead our day-to-day people activities, coaching and advising leaders and staff, and identifying new and improved ways of working. You’ll focus your efforts on all stages of the employee lifecycle from attraction and selection to offboarding and use your passion for process improvement and automation to ensure EWOV remains a great place to work. You’ll manage the P&C Coordinator acting as a mentor and coach.
This position offers full-time hours, with potential consideration for part-time arrangement for the right candidate.

What you’ll bring
To help you succeed in this role you’ll need to bring:

- Demonstrated experience in a HR Manager role in a similarly sized organisation
- Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and other relevant HR and IR legislation, and its practical implementation
- Experience in the provision of effective coaching and guidance to support the development of a high performing culture
- Experience leading projects in areas such as wellbeing, EVP, performance and reward, would be highly regarded
- Strong HRIS analytical skills to prepare reports and provide insights, passionate about process improvement to reduce administration and create efficiencies.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills, personal resilience, attention to detail and an even temperament. Experience with supporting internal communications would be beneficial.
- Ability to gain the trust, support and confidence of managers and staff
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, accountability and professionalism
- Flexibility and initiative that showcases the ability to deal with competing priorities under pressure to support EWOV’s objectives
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (incl business, HR, psychology)
