Primary Objective:

Key Accountabilities:

• As the Educational Leader, lead, implement and evaluate an innovative and high-quality early childhood program for children that reflects current theory and practice.
• Ensure processes support consultation with children with regards to their learning the centre, and the decisions that will impact on them.
• Develop and maintain effective and professional relationships with children, families, the Early Childhood Sector, critical partners, and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure regular and meaningful communication with families on the outcomes of the educational program.
• Support and advocate for children and family participation in the community, including those within the identified priority groups.
• Ensure strong management for the day-to-day operations of the Centre through regular evaluation of systems and processes, as well as management of staff rosters, staff ratios and adequate supervision.
• Ensure buildings are compliant with national regulatory standards and maintenance schedules are kept up to date.
• Perform any other duties as requested by your manager consistent with the position.

Selection Criteria:

• University qualifications in Early Childhood Education
• Previous experience as a Centre Director with excellent pedagogical practice informed by the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Current Working with Children's Check (NSW) or Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT)
• National Police Check
• Excellent understanding of the National Quality Framework, including the National Quality Standards, and the national assessment and rating system
• Experience in delivering inclusive and integrated services for families, particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged families
• Knowledge and experience in managing operational budgets, utilisation, and marketing strategies
• Approved First Aid Qualification, Anaphylaxis Training and Asthma Management Training
• Understanding of Child Protection legislation and holds an approved and current Child Protection Training qualification.
• Level 5
