Key Accountabilities:
- As the Educational Leader, lead, implement and evaluate an innovative and high-quality early childhood program for children that reflects current theory and practice.
- Ensure processes support consultation with children with regards to their learning the centre, and the decisions that will impact on them.
- Develop and maintain effective and professional relationships with children, families, the Early Childhood Sector, critical partners, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure regular and meaningful communication with families on the outcomes of the educational program.
- Support and advocate for children and family participation in the community, including those within the identified priority groups.
- Ensure strong management for the day-to-day operations of the Centre through regular evaluation of systems and processes, as well as management of staff rosters, staff ratios and adequate supervision.
- Ensure buildings are compliant with national regulatory standards and maintenance schedules are kept up to date.
- Perform any other duties as requested by your manager consistent with the position.
- University qualifications in Early Childhood Education
- Previous experience as a Centre Director with excellent pedagogical practice informed by the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Current Working with Children's Check (NSW) or Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT)
- National Police Check
- Excellent understanding of the National Quality Framework, including the National Quality Standards, and the national assessment and rating system
- Experience in delivering inclusive and integrated services for families, particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged families
- Knowledge and experience in managing operational budgets, utilisation, and marketing strategies
- Approved First Aid Qualification, Anaphylaxis Training and Asthma Management Training
- Understanding of Child Protection legislation and holds an approved and current Child Protection Training qualification.
