Job description

We are set up for flexibility - compressed work week or remote working.

Salary Range is $70,000 + $82,000 + 11%super

What You Will Be Working On

As the Archive & Information Management Officer within the Corporate Services Directorate of the City of Armadale, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective implementation of archival and Information Management practices. Your responsibilities will encompass the seamless organisation and accessibility of digital and hardcopy business records, adhering to ISO and legislative requirements. This includes using the Electronic Record Management System for efficient record lifecycles, establishing, and enforcing records management policies, conducting regular audits, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on digitisation and offsite archival storage. Additionally, you will be overseeing the City's Archival, Disposal, and Backscanning Programs, and generating insightful reports for continuous improvement.

 

About You

To thrive in this role, the successful candidate will possess qualifications in Records & Information Management, Archives Management, or a related field, coupled with a demonstrated proficiency in software systems like Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and electronic record management systems. A sound knowledge of relevant Recordkeeping Legislation, Standards, and Practices, as well as familiarity with Western Australian record-keeping requirements and the functions of the State Records Office, is essential. Strong interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment in handling confidential matters are critical for this role. Furthermore, you should showcase experience in project management, data entry, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a diverse team.
