- Providing a records management support service, ensuring records management practices and procedures, meet relevant legislative requirements, whilst maintaining strict confidentiality at all times
- Provide informative records management training and information awareness sessions to ensure all staff know and apply their own Information Management responsibilities
- Administer the City’s retention, disposal and archiving programs
- Act as the Freedom of Information (FOI) Coordinator for the City of Mandurah to process and collate FOI requests and meeting legislation requirements
- Certificate IV in Records Management or similar, and or progress in studies towards the relevant qualifications
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Records Management and compliance requirements of the State Records Act 2000 and relevant legislation.
- Experience in appraising and updating metadata of records in an EDRMS to enable better searching, and to meet corporate standards and compliance requirements
- Experience and knowledge of key recordkeeping tools such as keywords for council and retention and disposal authorities
- Demonstrated attention to detail in records management
- Intermediate knowledge in Freedom of Information legislation and proven experience in access requests processes
- Previous experience with one on one and classroom style training, and the ability to engage participants
- Ability to liaise with internal business units regarding record management requirements
- Experience working with Technology One ECM, is highly desirable but not essential
